And you can control the chaos

I dropped out of high school when I was 15. I spent the next 4 years writing punk songs in my bedroom, hopped up on Nestle Crunch and orange soda. Nothing has been normal since.

I’m the weird, creative type, but I’m not turned off by the fast pace of the industry. Advertising is chaotic, but I work well in chaos. I learned that as Managing Editor at a Floridian community college. I honed the skill hosting and producing a radio show for 6 years.

That’s where I came up with “Embrace the chaos.” It was my way of lightening the mood at our busiest shows, and take it for someone who works for a client with 400 brands, it applies to advertising too. It’s about learning to see the light in the maelstrom. Figure out your next goal and then achieve it. In an industry ruled by simplicity, it’s as simple as that.
